Clowns Serving Christ Ministry has booked its
busiest and most successful season yet! Three major
conferences, numerous church events, street fairs
and a junior clown camp have seen the CSCM Clowns
perform.
 The alley was the featured performers for the
ClownTown Sunday Morning Worship in May at Newark,
Ohio. The full service of praise, prayer, and play
was the highlight of the weekend to many of the 150
+ attendees. Bubba Sykes, a nationally recognized
Christian Clown participated in a sing along and
said that he was truly lifted and moved by the
service.
The International Christian Boaters Association
returned to the shores Lake Erie in June in part to
have CSCM perform for them once again. Attendees
from Australia, Fuji, Columbia, and numerous states
found the message and delivery uplifting and
entertaining.
The Ohio Fellowship of Christian Magicians invited
CSCM back to perform and teach at its annual
statewide conference. It was a pleasure for the
alley to share the stage with nationally recognized
magicians Duane Laughlin and Tricky Ricky.
Learning the basics of make-up and performance were
the foundations of the Junior MADD Camp held at the
Ohio Conference UCC Summer Camp in Bellville, Ohio
in early July. Called back for its fifth year CSCM
provided a full show and spent the day teaching the
tricks of the trade to over twenty pre-teen kids.
In the evening the lids took to the stage to perform
their own skits in full clown costumes. Laughter
could be heard across the hills!
Performing in Ohio churches from Purity to Edison to
Westerville allows CSCM to deliver their message of
mirth. The combination of music, skits, magic with
gospel themes is very popular with both children and
adults. More than one minister was heard to say, “I
can’t remember having this much fun in church in a
long time.” |
